Time to Change

Standard

Well all my lovely readers, it’s time for me to change.  I have had 3 blogs now for quite some time.  Each one specific to different parts of my life.  It has become way too hard to manage 3 blogs so I’ve decided to combine them all together into one blog.  I will eventually be deleting this blog.

This one blog will have everything that I want to share in my healing journey.  Food, Crafts, Herbalism, Essential Oils, and Energy Work are all a part of my life.  I think I will be able to share more on this new blog and I encourage all of you to please check it out and subscribe.  Thank you all for being such lovely readers I cannot wait to share more soon at:  Sleep.  Eat.  Heal.

Thinking of Fall

Standard

As it starts to get cooler here in good ole Wisconsin and as the days get shorter my mind is drifting to all the preparations I would like to make before winter sets in.  I currently have quite a wish list going at Mountain Rose Herbs and while I am waiting to get paid I find my list expanding each day.  My goal is to get what I will need for the fall and winter and while I am a planner it’s hard to plan for what I think I might need.  I do have quite a few tinctures planned (St. John’s Wort and Valerian to name a few) but also ingredients to make things such as cough medicine, throat lozenges, essential oils for various applications and such.

This cooler weather is also bringing my mind to canning.  I planned to start canning earlier this year and it didn’t happen at all.  But I am still hoping to can some Jelly, Pickles, and freeze items like corn, green beans, and other veggies.  My husband and I joke that we are trying to “Laura Ingalls Wilder-it” this winter by better preparing now.  Do you have any plans to prepare for winter?

Welcome!

“With the growing recognition of the value of herbs, it is surely time to examine the professional therapeutic use of these herbs. There are profound changes happening in the American culture and herbal medicine, ‘green medicine,’ is playing an ever-increasing role in people’s experience of this transformation.”

-David Hoffman, past President of the American Herbalist Guild

Welcome to my humble little blog.  If you know me you know I am slightly a blog-aholic.  I have two others Veggiegrl and Addicted to Crafting and now this little blog.  So why three blogs?  Well I am passionate about 3 areas: food, bath and body products, and health.  I feel they all work together but can all really be talked about separately.  This one will focus on natural health.  If you have ready my about me section you know that I do not intend for this blog to diagnose, treat or cure anything but to provide the information that is floating out there and what I choose to do for my family.

You can also Follow littleherbal on Twitter since I tend to post there at least once a day.  I think that is enough for today.
